A value driven approach to investing

Are we going to be OK?

In these challenging times, it would not surprise you to learn this question is one we commonly hear.

In light of this, we have structured our business to help our clients obtain a perspective of where they are and construct a sound plan that strives to achieve the answer “yes."

52 North Wealth Group aspires for our clients to refer to us as their trusted advisors. While there are many do-it-yourself avenues for pursuing financial independence, we believe a trusted advisor can make a critical difference in achieving one’s goals.

Investment philosophy

We utilize a value-driven approach to investing which is rooted in our belief that wealth is best created over time. Our client portfolios are invested exclusively on an individualized basis and tailored to each client’s specific investment goals. We analyze each investor’s current situation, risk tolerance, and future needs to develop a strategy to meet their goals.

Our investment practices are influenced by what we have learned over forty years managing individual client portfolios:

  • Investing money is hard. Saving money is harder. Treat capital preciously.
  • You can learn a lot from a bear market. Even more from six.
  • Successful investors accumulate patiently and think long term.
  • A misplaced sense of risk and controversy usually accompany the best investment ideas.
  • Truly great company managements are rare.
  • There is no substitute for a  fortress balance sheet.
  • Minimizing fees is additive to compound returns.
